We want you to have a smile that you are proud of, which is why we offer cosmetic dental services to help you achieve that perfect smile. Our esthetic services are designed to help improve the appearance of your teeth, gums, and bite. Bleaching, veneers, and non-metal restorations are examples of our cosmetic services.
Do you wish your teeth were whiter? With our in-office bleaching, you can achieve that beautiful bright smile you’ve dreamed of. Although there are various at-home tooth whitening strips, kits, gels, and toothpastes, in-office bleaching combined with home night guard bleaching is the most successful to improve your smile appeal.
In office bleaching usually requires one to three 60-minute office visits. A gel or rubber shield is placed in your mouth to protect the gums, and a bleaching agent is then applied to the teeth. Porcelain crowns, veneers, and composite tooth-colored bondings will not whiten during the bleaching process. Home night guard bleaching involves using a 10% carbamide peroxide gel in a custom made tray over night for several days
It is important to remember that flossing and daily brushing will help maintain the brightness of your bleached teeth. Avoid acidic and tannin-rich foods and drinks, such as black tea or coffee, red wine, sports drinks, carbonated drinks and any other strongly colored foods. Call today to see if bleaching is right for you.
Veneers are thin, custom-made shells of tooth-colored materials made to cover the front surface of teeth to improve appearance. Veneers are bonded to the front of teeth, changing their shape, color, size, or length, depending on the patient’s needs. Veneers are typically used to fix teeth that are discolored, worn down, chipped, broken, misaligned, uneven, or irregularly shaped.
To prepare for veneers, about 1/2 mm of enamel is removed from the tooth surface, and the dentist makes an impression of the tooth where the veneer is needed. Veneers are usually manufactured in 2-3 weeks. Special cement is used to bond the veneer to the tooth surface. After the cement hardens, the dentist will remove any excess cement, evaluate your bite, and make final adjustments to make your teeth look as natural as possible.
Non-metal restorations are one of the options for your cosmetic dental procedures. Non-metal restorations are tooth-colored that have the same function, feel, and appearance of natural teeth. More of the tooth structure can be saved when using non-metal materials for restorations, because these materials are chemically bonded to the tooth. They are strong, easy to maintain, and have the esthetic appeal that metal restorations lack.
